- Does Lingivio Convert My File Into Another Format?
- No. Lingivio translates the file you upload and returns the result in the same format. An Excel workbook remains an Excel workbook, and a PowerPoint presentation remains a PowerPoint presentation.
- Which File Types Can I Translate?
- Lingivio supports Word, Excel, PowerPoint, text-based and scanned PDFs, JPG, PNG, WebP, TXT, Markdown, CSV, HTML, and SRT subtitle files. File-format availability varies by plan.
- Will My Formulas and Numbers Be Translated?
- No. Formulas, numbers, product codes, URLs, and email addresses are protected from translation and checked before the job is completed.
- Is Lingivio a Certified Translation Service?
- No. Lingivio provides machine translation and does not produce sworn, certified, or human-reviewed translations. Content with legal, medical, financial, academic, or safety implications should be reviewed by a qualified person.
- Which Languages Are Available?
- Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and supported text formats currently offer 25 target languages. PDF and image output currently offers 20 target languages. The language selector shows only the combinations available for your file.
- How Much Will My File Cost?
- Lingivio calculates the exact credit cost from the file you upload and displays it before translation begins. A failed or cancelled translation is not charged.
- Can Lingivio Translate Scanned Documents?
- Yes. Lingivio uses OCR to read scanned PDF pages and supported image files. OCR pages and images cost 2 credits each because they require additional processing. Reading them is best-effort: we do not guarantee that every line comes back translated. Lines OCR cannot read stay in the source language on the page rather than being guessed at, and the page is charged in full whatever comes back.
- What Happens to My Files?
- Your files are not used to train AI models. Uploaded and translated files are automatically deleted within 24 hours.
- Can I Change or Cancel My Plan?
- Yes. You can change or cancel your plan at any time. If you cancel, your plan remains active until the end of your current billing period, and you will not be charged again.
