Your Documents Are Yours

Lingivio processes files to create your translation. It does not use customer documents as training data, and uploaded and generated files are automatically deleted within 24 hours.

What Happens to a File

  1. You upload it for a translation you request.

  2. Lingivio processes the document and verifies protected content.

  3. You download the completed file. The job shows what you were charged and flags anything worth checking.

  4. Uploaded and generated files are automatically deleted within 24 hours.

Uploaded and generated files are automatically deleted within 24 hours, and are never used to train a model.

Important Content Is Separated From Translatable Prose

Depending on the file format, formulas, numbers, product codes, URLs, email addresses, and document structure are kept out of the translation step or verified before completion.

Machine Translation, Clearly Labelled

Lingivio is not a sworn, certified, or human-reviewed translation service. Important legal, medical, financial, or safety-critical content should be reviewed by a qualified person before use.

Your file is deleted automatically after 24 hours and is never used to train any model.

Questions

How Long Are My Files Kept?
Uploaded and generated files are automatically deleted within 24 hours of upload. If you want a file gone sooner, delete it through the API and the bytes are removed immediately.
Are My Documents Used to Train Models?
No. Your files are processed to produce the translation you requested and nothing else. They are never used to train any model.
What Is Kept Out of the Translation Step?
Formulas, standalone numbers, product codes, URLs, and email addresses never enter the translation prompt. Where such a value sits inside a sentence, the sentence is translated as a whole and the value is checked on the way back. Document structure such as cell references inside formulas, slide geometry, and page layout is handled outside the prompt as well.
What Does Verified Mean?
After translation, every sentence is checked against its source: the numbers, codes, links, and placeholders it contained must still be there, unchanged. Individual sentences that fail our checks come back in the original language rather than as a guess, visibly, inside the translated file. If nothing in a file can be translated safely the job fails and every credit is released. Verification checks integrity, not meaning.
